Isabel is a full-time EngD student with a multi-disciplinary background in Psychology and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). She has research assistant experience, specialising in perception, cognition, and human experience in virtual environments. Her research interests focus on human-factors in optimising virtual reality (VR) experiences and multi-user/collaborative environments. She is a member of the Reality Innovators Network for Metaverse, VR, AR, & XR and the immersive learning research network.
Current projects are aimed at investigating how VR can help learners acquire manual skills, comparing different approaches to training in VR, with the goal of informing the development of effective and engaging training tools. Isabel, Dr Christof Lutteroth and Dr Michael Proulx, have partnered with Jeremy Dalton at PwC to maximise the industrial impact of this academic research.
