Emilia Tor is a full-time PhD student with an interest in the experience of emotions in virtual environments. She has experience with both Psychology and Human Computer Interaction research into user presence in Virtual Reality (VR). With her background in consolidating the impact of emotion, agency, and individual differences on user presence in VR, she seeks to develop a greater understanding of emotion regulation processes in virtual environments.
In her upcoming project, she aims to use a VR application that evokes emotional experiences, as well as presence, with a goal to develop training that introduces the user to mindful emotion regulation tactics in a safe and controlled environment.
