Dom is a Postdoctoral Research Associate in REVEAL with a background in Computer Science and Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). He is also a apart of the European Media and Immersion Lab (EMIL) a pan-European mixed reality (XR) Lab looking at development of XR technologies, content, services, and applications. His PhD focussed on developing interaction techniques and augmented physical devices for work in mixed reality environments. Dom’s current research activities investigate automatic affect recognition in Virtual Reality (VR) using physiological sensing to create virtual environments that can adapt to user’s emotions for different applications such as exercise-based gaming (‘Exergaming’) and rehabilitation.
